At the launch event of Mi CC9 Pro, Xiaomi also launched the latest Mi TV series, Xiaomi Mi TV 5 and Mi TV 5 Pro. According to the company, the series include options for all pockets. So we have models that start at 55 inches and go up to 75 inches, all of which support 4K resolution.
These televisions are exclusively designed by Xiaomi and noteworthy for their ultra-slim design with the smallest possible edges on the front. Thus, the 55-inch model is only 5.9 mm thick, while the 75-inch is 9.9 mm thick. When it comes to construction, Xiaomi makes sure that the Pro Series TVs feature an aluminum body and a screwless frame. Check out the slim design of Mi TV 5 Pro below:
Talking about the display, the Mi TV 5 and TV 5 Pro with 4K QLED panel with Quantum Dot technology. That means all models will deliver more vibrant colors and superior brightness with HDR10+. However, only the Pro variant supports up to 108% of the NTSC range.
Both models feature Amlogic T972 SoC, PatchWall user interface, and ready for 8K video playback. In pursuit of good performance, Xiaomi has launched televisions equipped with the 12nm Amlogic T972 processor. Mi TV 5 Pro has 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, while the Mi TV 5 capacity is reduced to 3GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage.
Finally, to ensure good audio reproduction, all TVs support Dolby Audio and DTS-HD technologies. In addition, they feature four built-in microphones that allow interaction with the XiaoAI assistant.
Price and Availability
According to Xiaomi, pre-sale in China starts today (Nov. 5), but there is no forecast when the models will be made official in India. Check out the launch prices of Mi TV 5 and 5 Pro:
