Unfortunately, Sony has lost its way over the years, leaving room for other brands to outperform it in this busy smartphone market. It’s slowly trying to stay in business by launching new devices every six months. Now a new Sony Xperia Compact phone is coming.
We see a lot of rumors talking about new devices, camera technology used in them and even the chipset such as Snapdragon 865 SoC. Now we see some information about Sony’s upcoming mid-range model, which should be called Sony Xperia Compact, according to rumors.
Apparently, this phone must have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset, present in devices such as the Xiaomi Mi A3 and also the Redmi Note 8, for example. In addition, it should feature a 5.5-inch display, keeping the size small.
It’s worth remembering that this will be possible due to its 21:9 aspect ratio display, first implemented in Xperia 1, which was unveiled at this year’s Mobile World Congress. Besides that, we also saw Xperia 10, Xperia 10 Plus and Xperia 5, for example, all with this feature. Interesting to see more phones should get this display with cinema ratio.
Either way, we’ll have to wait a little longer for other details to talk about this curious device, as well as confirm information about it. Hopefully, we will meet you at the Mobile World Congress 2020 in late February.
