The Redmi K30 family is growing and should soon see a new variant known as the Redmi K30i. According to new rumors, this device will be the “cheapest” version of the K30 generation, and its main highlight is the support for the new 5G network.
Recently, we saw that the new model will have a 48MP main camera inside a module that resembles the first Redmi K30. In addition, instead of following its Pro brothers, the new Redmi K30i should drop the pop-up mechanism and accommodate the front camera in a hole.
Now, according to information obtained from China Mobile, the K30i will be made official with a screen that has a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Apparently, Xiaomi wants to popularize the technology by releasing it on a cheaper device.
As much as it is a “cost-effective” variant, the Redmi K30i will still not be as cheap as expected and should cost 1,799 Yuan, something around INR 19,343. Sources working with Xiaomi say that this model will be powered by the Snapdragon 765G processor.
In addition, the handset can come out of the box with a 4,500 mAh battery and support for fast charging up to 30W. It’ll run on Android 10 with MIUI 11 or later MIUI 12 skin on top.
