Qualcomm has announced Quick Charge 3+ fast charging technology promising greater speed and reliability than ever for the mid-range segment. Qualcomm Quick Charge 3 Plus will be made available first for the Snapdragon 765 and 765G platforms, with the Mi 10 Youth Edition being the first smartphone in the world with support not only for the QC3 + itself but also already prepared for the Quick Charge 4+.
Qualcomm says the new Quick Charge 3+ focuses on offering “advanced fast charging at a lower price point”. Compared to other generations, the technology offers a charging capacity of 0% to 50% in just 15 minutes, being 35% faster and 9 ºC colder.
The cable used for the Quick Charge 3+ will still be the USB-A to USB-C standard as “they are cheaper for manufacturers and consumers”. So the use of more advanced cables with both USB-C ends is not yet will be implemented, as they are more expensive to produce and more expensive to sell.
The feature will continue to expand this year for more and more smartphones, so it is very likely that, if you buy a smartphone with a Snapdragon 765 or 765G processor, or with some other new platform that is presented this year, your device is already compatible. with fast loading from 0% to 50% in 15 minutes.
