A couple of weeks ago we saw the introduction of OnePlus 7T Pro and also OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition, which features a slightly modified design and 12 GB of RAM as major differences. Unfortunately, on that occasion, there was no mention of the new generation internet connectivity, the 5G. However, it seems that there will be an option for the new smartphone with the new 5G network.

Apparently, the US operator T-Mobile will be the only one in the country to offer the model with the 5G connection, more precisely the McLaren Edition variant. Still, this information is not very clear what will be the price of the device, or a date for the release of the device.

“5G is the most transformative technology of our lifetime – faster speeds, better coverage, real-time responses, more connections. It’ll dramatically change our mobile experience, fuel brand new experiences and drive billions in economic growth and jobs, but only if everyone can get access to broad, deep 5G,” said John Legere, CEO of T-Mobile. “At T-Mobile, we’re on a mission to bring 5G to everyone, and together with Sprint, the New T-Mobile can make sure that the entire country can benefit meaningfully from the future of wireless.”

“At OnePlus we believe that 5G is the future,” said Pete Lau, CEO, and Founder of OnePlus. “T-Mobile has always been a great partner, and T-Mobile’s expansive 5G network on the 600 MHz spectrum makes it the perfect opportunity for us to exclusively launch the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren in the United States.”

One of the first carriers to offer a OnePlus model with a 5G connection was the EE operator, which sold the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G in the UK a few months ago. Anyway, it will not be the only smartphone with this connection that can be found on the carrier, and the Galaxy S10 5G can also be purchased there.
