How To Install Linux or windows In VirtualBox With Easy Steps – On this occasion, I want to share a way where we can run two operating systems simultaneously without having to perform dual boot actions or install two boot operating systems on one computer/laptop. By using how to install windows in a virtual box, we can very easily install our windows operating system.

Virtualbox is a software or application that we can use to install additional operating systems on our main operating system. For example, we want to install the Windows XP operating system, but we have installed the Windows 7 operating system.

In the usual way, we will format the Windows 7 operating system first before we install the Windows XP operating system, but we use virtual software or applications. box so we can install the Windows XP operating system on the Windows 7 operating system without having to reformat our Windows 7 operating system.

If we are sure of the amount of memory needed from the operating system that we want to install on the operating system, then we can press the next button to continue the next stage.

In the next stage, we will be asked to make arrangements for our storage media which we will use for the operating system that we will install in the virtual box application later. In the virtual hard disk setup, there are 3 (three) options that can be used:

1. Do not add a virtual hard drive

If you have, we can go to the next stage by pressing the create button. and at the next stage, we have to choose the type of extension from the virtual hard disk file which we will use later to install the operating system in this VirtualBox application. The standard virtual box will suggest using VDI (Virtual box disk image). However, we can also choose a disk image with other extensions.

If you are sure, in the next step we will make further arrangements by pressing the next button. At this stage we will be asked how our virtual hard drive will be stored, here we will be given two choices, namely

In this section there are 2 (two) options to choose from:

1. Dynamically allocated

If we choose this, the hard drive capacity we use will be based on the capacity of the virtual hard drive we use and we set it earlier and does not depend on the capacity of the physical hard disk we have.

2. Fixed-size

If we choose this, the hard drive capacity is based on the capacity of our physical hard drive, so I suggest that we select the Dynamically allocated option, then press the Next button.

In the next step, it is useful to determine the name of the display and the name of the folder where we will store our virtual machine files. We can save an existing folder or directory, but we can also place it on another hard drive that is different from the hard drive that we use by our main operating system.

We can change and determine the hard drive capacity that we will use on our virtual machine on this screen. If we select the option “Dynamically allocated” then we can make our virtual hard disk capacity reach 2 tera.

Then we can press the create button for us to use to install the Windows operating system.

If we have finished carrying out the steps in the process above, a machine will appear with the name we specified earlier and in an empty state and ready to install the Windows operating system.

Install Windows on the VirtualBox Application

At this stage, we can install windows on this virtual box machine. Click the start button to run our virtual.

We can select the disk image that we will use to install the operating system that we will use at this stage. we can also install the operating system that we will use via DVD or cd that we have.
